Meredith & Emily - Anchorage Mother & Daughter Photographer

Like mother... like daughter. These two may be thousands of miles apart, but their hearts will forever beat as one. We loved getting to share in their memories and give them a way to remember each other, regardless of where life takes them.

Meredith was visiting her daughter, Emily (who just happens to be my best friend!), here in Alaska and so long before the visit itself, Emily asked us to plan a fun and fabulous mother-daughter session. These two women have been "freakishly close" (as she puts it) for as long as we've known them and so we understood how important these images would be for them.

But Saturday wasn't a day for tears.. but for laughter.. for cherishing what time they had been given.

Now these next two scenes were requested by Emily. Anyone that knows this girl knows that she loves her coffee and that her dining room table (cafe-height, of course!) is the perfect place to sit down and have a cup of coffee. Since moving to Alaska, she has sat at this table and dreamed of sharing a cup of coffee with her mom... and now that dream has come true.

And of course, we couldn't let Meredith come to Alaska without taking the session outside and letting them play in the beautiful white snow!
