It's too easy as photographers to get caught up in capturing the "perfect" moment. We watch for lighting, the background, make sure there are props handy, real smiles and a myriad of other tiny details. But sometimes we forgot that sometimes the perfect moment comes at the least expected moment.
While visiting with some friends during a girl's night, my friend Jessa, a sweet girl with a beautiful belly, gave me such a moment. In the midst of laughing and cutting up, she stepped in front of the open window and it seemed as though everything just stopped. The outline of her belly. Her silhouette of dark against light. The sun beam just peeking over the top of little Noah's bump.... it was the moment.
At 35 weeks and feeling it, this lady went into labor barely 24 hours after this photo was taken! As such, this was the very last belly picture taken while little Noah was still inside his mommy. That alone is enough to make us all cry!
Thank you, Jessa, for letting me be a part of the beauty of the moment.
